Carter is a sweet, charming, handsome 8-year old boxer mix.  He is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, house-trained and knows how to use a doggy door.  He is good with other dogs, good with older kids he has met before (no small children), loves car rides and going out to dog parks, beaches, and other public places.  Carter has some arthritis which is typical of a large dog his age, so while he does like going for walks, he prefers to keep them short.  He is playful and engaging, but he also knows how to relax on his doggy bed and just hang out with you. He likes being with his people, but can be left alone at home for a few hours, and is quiet. He sleeps peacefully on his own doggy bed at night.  Carter is just about everything you could possibly want in a canine companion! Sadly, and heartbroken, his elderly owner is no longer able to give him the time and attention he should have, so his family’s search is on to find Carter a new loving home. Might that be with you?
