Everest came to the shelter as a stray from Palomar Mountain back in April. In the month that he’s been at the shelter, he’s become a staff favorite. A gentle giant weighing in at a measly 108 lbs. Everest is sweet, social, loves tennis balls, loves to play fetch and run. He will play fetch with you until he is beyond exhausted, but just be sure to use extra large tennis balls as he could accidentally swallow a normal sized one ;-). He’s an active, big dog with a lot of puppy energy still in him, but he tires himself out fast. His temperament is very typical of a bulldog - goofy, aloof, unaware of his size, but social and easy to handle (if the handler is strong).
He can be barrier reactive to new people, but when he gets up close and personal, he is the sweetest dog to friends and new people alike. He's not interested in meeting other dogs, so would do best as an only dog.
