Mila is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet! Coming in at a huge 26lbs, and likely to stay that size, Mila was found running across the highway near the San Bernardino mountains. A good samaritan was able to meet this doll. No owner in sight, Mila jumped right in the car and slept like she hadn’t slept in years... something she still loves to do! Naps are one of her top favorites. At first she can be a little standoffish with other animals, but give her some proper introductions and she wins everyone over. She gets along well with other dogs (as long as she’s been properly introduced) and she would benefit from a playmate - her two large breed foster brothers adore her. She would likely do best in a home with no cats, as she can be too rough and wants to chase. She loves people, tail wagging, maybe an excited bark, but even the vet staff loved her, and she loved them! Car rides, baths, and finding that cheese-it’s you accidentally dropped in the couch are just a few things this adorable girl is talented at. She also loves her little sweaters, shirts, and thunder jacket!
Mila wants to be with you, but she is also good sitting in her crate with her comfy blanket and a chew toy. Speaking of toys, she loves them - there isn’t a toy this girl won’t enjoy. She is eager to please, and enjoys training; she knows sit and lay down! Potty training has been going very well, and she knows to go outside as long as you provide access. She walks very well on leash, whether you use collar, chain or harness - she walks at your pace and is actually very good off leash. She’s still working on recall, but she is pretty good at coming back when called. Now food, she cannot get enough of, she is very food motivated, and would benefit from a slow feeder. When giving treats, she’s still working on taking things from hands gently - it would be best to not have her around very small children until she learns to slow that down and to take items more gently. She hasn’t been around children too much, but we think with the right introductions, older children wouldn’t be an issue.
All in all, Mila is a darling companion for anyone. She has a loving personality and wants to have a forever family. This little heartthrob will steal your breath away.
