Meet Champ.  He is a male pit bull mixed w/Hound dog, about age two.  He came from a neglect situation where an unbelievable amount of dirt was washed off of his body and from his ears.  The tops of his ears are being treated from where flies just attacked his ears all day.  Champ was left alone in a chained kennel 24 hours a day.  He was never taken for a walk and never allowed to come out to play.  But don't let that scare you; he's totally harmless!  He plays with all of the dogs and is friendly friendly friendly all around with all dogs big as well as small.  There was a Chihuahua is this former home, a male, and Champ loved him but the little dogs were house dogs and the big dogs were banished to back yard kennels.  Champ loves to lick your hand and give you lots of affectionate kisses.  He is learning to walk on the leash really fast and rides very well in the car in a crate.  He is being crate-trained and is learning that he can relax in there and just chew on a raw-hide chewie.  Champ so much wishes to be a normal dog and just have what other better treated dogs have had.  He's come SO FAR, so fast and every day, I'm just delighted to see his progress and growth, which is pretty noticeable, since this guy really had no opportunites until now.  What a good, forgiving boy!  Champ is a friendly, happy-go-lucky guy who is a very quick learner.  He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.  He was neutered since he was a puppy before he came to rescue.
