Oliver is (at 175 lbs) a larger than life dog. He loves to go for car rides, swim at the beach,jog, walk, cuddle and sometimes even thinks he is a lap dog. He is a great companion dog for an experienced owner. He loves people and children, but would do best in a home with older kids, due to his size. He can be picky about his dog friends on his own turf, but overall is a sweet boy. Oliver is a happy,playful and affectionate boy who comically trots around like a horse when he is joyful! His temperament is sweet, gentle and mellow.

Oliver prefers dogs who are mellow like him and not super energetic (in your face type). He gets slightly agitated around small barking dogs. Oliver will need an experienced owner and a confident leader. This due to the nature of his breed. He needs someone who will spend time with him and who understands how to manage his anxiety, fear and control issues around strange dogs that he is not familiar with.He is exceptionally well behaved on a leash and will stop when you do. He is very in tune with peoples emotions and needs and needs someone who can be the same with him!

Oliver is in Great health and needs a person knowledgeable of his large breed in order to maintain his longevity and health!
