Cali is a sweet, very loving and protective dog, weighing no more than 45 pounds. She is not aggressive. She has a mean bark, but no bite! Cali didn't have an ideal start with her former owners - she had been fed only once per day, was kept in the hot garage when they weren't home, and had never been to the vet...They could no longer keep her and were ready to surrender her to an already full shelter. Luckily she was rescued and is currently in foster care - Cali deserves a chance at a better life!

Cali gets along well with other dogs, cats, infants/kids and house guests. She can have a tough time listening to commands, but with a little push she will do what you ask of her - she just needs some training which we are working on together! She is okay with sleeping in a crate at night and does very well staying outside in the shade all day with food and water. She is also good indoors. Please give this lovable dog a chance in your home, you will not regret it! She loves company so if you have a multiple dog household she would fit in perfectly. She also does well on her own! She is not dominant, is a great follower and very peaceful.
