Oh hello there! My name is Tofu. I am a 3 year old, fit n flirty 20 lbs dog-man. My ancestors hail from the island of St. Chihuahua & Mt. Miniature Pinscher.  Most people say that my best trait is my glorious gleaming green eyes. You see, I am what you call "the best of both worlds". I enjoy a fast paced game of fetch with a ball or any squeaky toy  (WAIT DID SOMEONE SAY SQUEAKY TOY?!?) and I will let you know how excited I am to be doing it! I'm also incredibly loyal and will just stay by your side on the couch for a good informative game of Jeopardy. I even enjoy hikes with my foster dad and foster doggy sister. My foster dad makes fun of me for "lagging" behind- but I'm just the type of man who likes to stop and smell the roses!

At home, I enjoy my crate (which I love to sleep in- especially at nights 'cuz foster dad gives me treats!). I have one foster kitty sibling who I enjoy. It takes a while for me to learn the ropes with kitties, but with a gentle and slow intro- I'm quick to win them over. I tolerate other dogs, although I'm pretty sure they're sub par compared to me.! My foster dad takes me to the doggy park frequently, and although I don't initiate play with other dogs, I allow them to approach me for butt sniffs and pawtographs. Occasionally, when I feel comfortable, I initiate some friendly dog play with other dogs. I'm not really food motivated, so I may need some extra work with basic training. I have mastered "sit" though. NAILED IT!

With strangers, I'm a little shy when you first meet me, but I just need to make sure you work for it. But with my master, I will follow you anywhere and be forever loyal.

To my new family: I'm looking for a gentle but confident leader who is ready to have a best friend by your side forever. I would do best in a home with older children. I would also do best with someone who enjoys mild to moderate daily activity. I enjoy my outdoor time! I need a home with a fenced in back yard-  big enough to play fetch FOREVER. I am ok with other dogs and cats with slow introductions. I am neutered, crate trained, and in good health. I will walk with you, stand by you, and love you forever. Just make sure you don't forget the tennis balls...
