Mikey is a 1-year old Yellow Lab who is bonded with his 1-year old Chocolate Lab sister April. They are searching for their forever home together. They love running around and playing with each other, and Mikey especially likes playing fetch and being outdoors. Mikey is a very lovable dog, loves being petted behind the ear and sometimes lies on his back for a belly rub. He will fetch things such as sticks and of course balls. He likes to jump when he gets excited, but stops when told no. He also likes the water...after he is done drinking from the bowl, he likes to put his feet in especially if it's warm out.

 

Mikey is cautious when he first meets people, but once he gets some affection from them, he just wants more!  He has been around kids 8-10 years old and loves to play with them, but he has not been around babies. Mikey gets along well with other dogs after a few sniffs, he has not had experience with cats yet, and he and his sister will chase birds around the yard, but stop when told to come. He can walk on a leash, however he does need practice. Mikey is very curious about the outdoors and would make a great water/hiking dog. He is very smart, happy, playful, noble, and tranquil.
