Belle

Today Belle was adopted by a wonderful family. A young man (69) with early onset dementia who lives near family with caregivers. His former dog died a few weeks ago. The man was a physician who helped premature babies and was diagnosed with Alzheimers at 63yrs old Belle took to him immediately. His daughter said that Belle is exactly what they were looking for and what her dad needs.

Billy
Billy

His transition to the new environment has been pretty quick. The vet even fell in love with him. He’s gone on a couple of rides with me and has met all the neighbors and their dogs while on our morning walks at the nearby park. Everybody thinks that he is one handsome boy (which he is). He even has a job….chasing rabbits out of our yard. And is he fast. Thanks for all you do.
-Jim
Casey [aka. Billy] is getting very comfortable. He is enjoying all the toys and as Jim said is resting (upside down) on his bed next to Jim’s computer during the day. I know that’s a sign of being comfortable to “expose” his belly, so we’re all falling in love together. All the “park friends” are just gushing over him. He’s met 2 of the dogs and has been very nice. Jim’s really enjoying having the walking partner! I am jealous each morning when I go to work that I don’t get to stay home and play. Thanks again for all you do. I know how much you care and how hard you work to make these special connections. We really were meant for Casey and he for us. He’s going to have a long, spoiled (but well trained) life. We start school on the 22nd but he is really showing the ability to learn Sit, Down and Drop already.
