Duke is a gem of a guy!  This dude is so sweet it is unreal.  He loves to play with dogs both smaller and larger and is a real love with the puppies we have here.  He leash-trained in a heartbeat, demonstrating his intelligence and willingness to please very quickly!  He is golden at heeling and sitting when you stop! 
 
Duke is house-broken, crate-trained, leash-trained and socialized.  His one downfall is he hates to be crated.  He'll do it, and he has to daily here, but he really does not like it at all!  He whines and cries pathetically when he's in there.  Having said that - he will calm down and go to sleep.  At night he's great and sleeps straight through with no accidents or whining.  Duke needs someone to either help keep reinforcing he's okay while in there, or better yet, if you happen to work from home or do not need to use a crate very often he'll love you all the more for it!  He can also be prone to car sickness although he's gotten LOTS better than when he first arrived!
